Pahartoli Textiles Limited, a 100% export-oriented spinning mill of one of Bangladesh’s leading industrial groups, Ispahani Group, located at North Pahartali in the port city of Chattogram, has achieved a significant milestone in environmentally responsible and sustainable production. The Production Unit-2 of Pahartoli Textiles Limited has been awarded the prestigious LEED Platinum Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

On 9 August 2026, the certificate was formally handed over to Mr. Mirza Salman Ispahani, Chairman of Ispahani Group, by Mr. Mahendra Jayalath, Chairman, Green Building Council, Sri Lanka.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Mirza Shakir Ispahani, Managing Director of Ispahani Group; Mr. Mirza Ahmed Ispahani, Director of Ispahani; Engineer Belayet Hossain, Chairman of Chattogram Development Authority (CDA), along with distinguished industrialists of Chattogram, LEED Platinum consultants, architects, senior bankers, senior officials of Ispahani Group, and other distinguished guests.

The LEED Platinum certification recognizes Pahartoli Textiles Limited’s commitment to maintaining high standards in environmentally responsible manufacturing through energy-efficient machinery, the use of renewable solar energy, and sustainable production practices.

Established in 1954, Pahartoli Textiles Limited has been playing an important role in Bangladesh’s textile industry for decades. The company currently provides employment to approximately 1,800 people. Operated through modern technology and efficient production systems, Pahartoli Textiles Limited has five production units, with an annual yarn production capacity of approximately 23,000 metric tons.

Approximately 70% of the company’s raw materials are sourced from environmentally responsible sources. In addition to modern eco-friendly machinery, the facility utilizes recovered exhaust gas from captive generators in its production process. The company also has a rainwater harvesting and conservation system with a capacity of 1 million liters, along with a green environment enriched with more than 12,000 trees. These initiatives have further strengthened the company’s appeal to leading international apparel brands.

This achievement by Pahartoli Textiles Limited marks another significant step forward for Bangladesh’s industrial sector in advancing sustainable management and environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.

বাংলাদেশের ঐতিহ্যবাহী প্রতিষ্ঠান ইস্পাহানি টি লিমিটেডের ‘মির্জাপুর চা-বাগান’ টানা দ্বিতীয়বারের মতো শ্রমিক কল্যাণের ভিত্তিতে শ্রেষ্ঠ চা বাগান ক্যাটাগরিতে ‘জাতীয় চা পুরস্কার’ জিতে নিয়েছে। এছাড়াও ইস্পাহানির মালিকানাধীন নেপচুন চা বাগানের চা শ্রমিক ‘জেসমিন আক্তার’ ‘শ্রেষ্ঠ চা-পাতা চয়নকারী’ ক্যাটাগরিতে পুরস্কার অর্জন করেছেন।
জাতীয় চা দিবস ২০২৬ উপলক্ষে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে বিজয়ীদের হাতে ‘জাতীয় চা পুরস্কার ২০২৬’ এর পুরস্কার তুলে দেন অনুষ্ঠানের প্রধান অতিথি জনাব খন্দকার আব্দুল মুক্তাদির, এমপি, মাননীয় মন্ত্রী, বানিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়। ‘শ্রমিক কল্যাণের ভিত্তিতে শ্রেষ্ঠ চা-বাগান’ ক্যাটাগরিতে ইস্পাহানির মির্জাপুর চা বাগানের পক্ষে পুরস্কার গ্রহণ করেন ইস্পাহানি গ্রুপের চেয়ারম্যান জনাব মির্জা সালমান ইস্পাহানি। এছাড়াও ইস্পাহানির নেপচুন চা বাগানের চা শ্রমিক ‘জেসমিন আক্তার’ এবার ‘শ্রেষ্ঠ চা-পাতা চয়নকারী’ ক্যাটাগরিতে পুরস্কার গ্রহণ করেন ।

Ispahani received national recognition for its outstanding contributions to the tea industry at the National Tea Award 2025, jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the Bangladesh Tea Board. Our renowned Mirzapore Tea Garden was awarded ‘Best Tea Garden for Worker Welfare,’ acknowledging our continued commitment to the health, education, and well-being of our tea garden workers.

In a moment of double pride, Jasmine Akhter, a dedicated tea worker from our Neptune Tea Garden, was honoured as the “Highest Tea Leaf Collector” for the second year in a row. The awards were presented by the Honourable Adviser to the Ministry of Commerce, Mr. Sheikh Bashir Uddin, and received on behalf of Ispahani by Mr. Emaad Ispahani, director of the Ispahani group.

The event, held in the presence of esteemed government and industry leaders, is a testament to Ispahani’s leadership in quality, responsibility, and social impact within the tea sector. This achievement reflects the hard work of our teams on the ground and reinforces our mission to blend excellence with care across every leaf we produce.

Two tea gardens under Ispahani Group have been honored with the Green Factory Award 2025 in recognition of their worker-friendly and environmentally sustainable practices. This year, in the tea category, both awards have been won by Ispahani Group’s estates — Mirzapore Tea Garden and Zareen Tea Garden.

Under the joint initiative of the Ministry of Labour and Employment and the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) under the Ministry of Industries of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, 30 factories/institutions from 16 local sectors were awarded the Green Factory Award 2025. To mark the occasion, an award ceremony was held on Tuesday, June 24, at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka. The event’s Chief Guest was Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. M. Sakhawat Hossain, Honourable Adviser to the Ministry of Labour and Employment and the Ministry of Shipping. The Special Guest was Mr. Adilur Rahman Khan, Honourable Adviser to the Ministry of Industries and the Ministry of Housing and Public Works. Mr. Mirza Ahmed Ispahani, Director of Ispahani Group, accepted the two awards on behalf of the organization. Also representing Ispahani at the event were A.K.M. Mainul Ahsan, GM of Ispahani Tea Estate, Mr. Selim Reza, Deputy General Manager of Zareen Tea Garden, and Mr. Saiduzzaman, Manager of Mirzapore Tea Garden.

It is worth mentioning that three of Ispahani Group’s tea gardens, Ghazipore, Zareen, and Neptune, were previously awarded the Green Factory Award in 2023. This year’s recognition once again highlights Ispahani Group’s strong commitment and continuous efforts in ensuring a worker-friendly, safe, and decent work environment.

Country’s leading business enterprise Ispahani sponsored a modern seminar library for the Department of Persian Language and Literature, University of Dhaka. Ispahani Group and Allama Rumi Society patronized the modern and renovated library named after Syed Ahmadul Haque, who is known as Rumi of Bengal.

Ispahani is proud to announce the successful conclusion of Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid Season 6, a television reality show dedicated to promoting the correct use of the Bangla language among the youth. The grand finale of this year-long initiative was held at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center in Dhaka.

Throughout the season, the competition engaged students from all 8 divisions and the Cumilla region, encouraging them to champion proper grammar, accurate spelling, and overall linguistic excellence. After rigorous rounds of assessment, Abhishek Das from Cantonment English School & College, Chattogram, was crowned the Best Banglabid and awarded a scholarship of BDT 10 lakh. Rifa Tasnia from Ideal School and College, Dhaka, secured the second position and received BDT 3 lakh, while Rashmi Tultul Chowdhury from Ispahani Public School and College, Chattogram, earned the third position with a scholarship of BDT 2 lakh.

In addition to the top three prizes, each of the top ten finalists was awarded a laptop, Bangla books worth BDT 50,000, and a bookshelf to inspire lifelong reading and learning habits.

The grand finale was attended by distinguished guests, including Ispahani Directors Ms. Zahida Ispahani, Mr. Emaad Ispahani, Mr. Mirza Ahmed Ispahani, and Ms. Tahsin Chowdhury Ispahani were also present and graced the occasion.

The 4th edition of the Blender’s Choice OTT & Digital Content Awards 2024, organized by Ispahani Group, was held on 7 September at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center’s Hall of Fame. The final round of knowledge-based reality show titled, “Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid” (an expert of Bangla) was held at the capital’s Bangabandhu International Conference Center yesterday.

MM Ispahani Limited and Channel i jointly organised the event to inspire youths to use Bangla language in their everyday activities.

The show started in February with 35,000 participants and on the final day, Susrat Sayem, a student of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, became the winner.

At the event, Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor stressed the need for spelling and pronouncing Bangla words correctly.

Terming the style of language used in different dramas improper, he urged everyone to discard such use of language. “Otherwise, the new generation will be confused,” he said.

Faridur Reza Sagor, managing director of Channel i, also spoke.

Dhaka University Bangla Professor Dr Soumitra Shekhar, agriculture development activist Shykh Seraj and eminent actress Suborna Mustafa were the judges.
