Ispahani Tea Limited received an honorary commemorative in recognition of its significant contribution to the tea industry of Bangladesh at a function organized on the occasion of the ‘Second National Tea Day 2022’.
The Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman became the first Bengali Chairman of the Tea Board on 4th June 1957. To make the day memorable, Bangladesh Tea Board has been celebrating the 4th of June every year as the National Tea Day since 2021.
On this occasion, Bangladesh Tea Board organized a grand program on 4th June 2022, at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium, Dhaka. Special honours and recognitions were given to various individuals and organizations for their important contributions to tea production and the development of the tea industry of Bangladesh.
At this time, the Minister of Commerce handed over a special memento to Mirza Salman Ispahani, Chairman of Ispahani Group, one of the leading organizations in the tea industry of Bangladesh.
Minister of Commerce Tipu Munshi was present as the chief guest while the Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmed was present as the special guest at the ceremony.
The event was presided over by Tapan Kanti Ghosh, senior secretary, Ministry of Commerce.
Chairman of Bangladesh Tea Board Major General Md Ashraful Islam; FBCCI President Mohammad Jasim Uddin; Chairman of Tea Traders Association of Bangladesh Omar Hannan and Chairman of Bangladesh Tea Association, M Shah Alam were present at the program.
Various people involved in the tea industry of Bangladesh were also present on the occasion.
